BHSc, MScBMC (she/her)

Welcome to my portfolio page! I’m Sam – a biomedical visualizer and designer from Toronto, ON. I am currently based in Hamilton, and I am proud to call both places my home. 😄

My journey into the world of science visualization began after a split-second decision to take a biomedical graphics elective during my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at McMaster University. For years, I stayed immersed in the word of lab coats, cell cultures, and pipettes, and thought that my long-standing passion for art and design would have to forever take the backseat. Never had I thought that my two interests could exist in harmony.

This elective showed me the transformative power of visual design and storytelling in our information-dense world. Clear visualizations and well-crafted narratives bring complex, abstract concepts to life, creating accessible communication opportunities that empower individuals to make more informed choices and elevate today’s groundbreaking discoveries.

I am incredibly privileged to have graduated in 2024 from University of Toronto for my Master’s of Science in Biomedical Communications, the only accredited visualization institution in Canada. My specialization in interactive media design and animation continues to empowers me to create captivating educational experiences that bridge the gap between scientific concepts and everyday understanding, resonating with diverse audiences.

Let’s bring your science to life, together!
